Scenic Float — Raft or Inflatable Kayak

The easiest way to spend a night on the river. One scenic day floating the Upper Colorado, a night at riverside camp, and a relaxed morning float out. Our most affordable overnight — perfect for first-timers, families, and anyone who just wants to unplug on the water. Run it in a raft, or paddle your own inflatable kayak.

Option A
Guided Raft

Sit back and let your guide do the steering. Great for groups and anyone who wants the classic float experience.

Option B
Inflatable Kayak

Paddle your own stable, forgiving inflatable kayak alongside the guide. Hands-on and a little more adventurous. Learn more

Same base price either way — just tell us whether you'd like a raft or an inflatable kayak when you fill out the reservation form.

Questions

Overnight FAQ

Do I need to bring my own camping gear?

No — we can outfit your entire group. Tents, sleeping bags, pads, and headlamps are all available as rentals. Just add your selections to the reservation form and we'll have everything ready when you arrive. If you'd rather bring your own gear, that's completely fine too. Dry bags and camp chairs are included on every trip at no charge.

What's the minimum age?

For any package that includes Gore Canyon (Gore + Float and the Full Expedition), the minimum age is 16. The scenic float trips — Upper Colorado Overnight and Colorado Float — are family-friendly, so call us to discuss specific ages and we'll make sure your group is set up for success.

What should I bring?

We'll send a full packing list when you book. In general: clothes that can get wet, a warm change of clothes for camp, sunscreen, a water bottle, and any personal medications. We handle the rest — food, gear, logistics, and all the river equipment.

How fit do I need to be for the Gore Canyon packages?

For the packages that include Gore Canyon (Gore + Float and the Full Expedition), you need to be in solid physical shape — Gore is a demanding Class V run that requires sustained paddling and confident swimming ability. The scenic float trips (Upper Colorado Overnight and Colorado Float) are appropriate for most fitness levels. When in doubt, call us and we'll talk you through it honestly.

What about dietary restrictions?

We ask about dietary restrictions right in the reservation form, and we do our best to accommodate common needs. Just let us know what you need when you book and we'll plan the camp meals accordingly.

How far in advance should I book?

Overnight dates are limited and fill up fast, especially in July and August. We recommend reserving at least 4–6 weeks out. Contact us as early as you can to lock in your preferred dates.

Is gratuity included?

Gratuity is not included in the package price. If your guides deliver — and we think they will — tipping is always appreciated and goes directly to the crew who spent days on the river with you.
