About This Trip

This is the perfect rafting trip for families or first-time rafters looking for a scenic float with abundant wildlife and playful rapids. As you meander down the river, keep your eyes peeled for Bald Eagles perching on the canyon cliffs, and deer, moose, and bears grazing along the shoreline — wildlife sightings are a regular highlight of this trip.

Toward the middle of the float, natural hot springs are nestled right into the river bank, giving guests a chance to soak depending on the water level. For those looking for a little extra adventure, the Upper Colorado can also be experienced in an inflatable kayak — a fun challenge for guests who want to paddle their own craft.

This is Colorado beauty at its finest. Stunning canyon scenery, clean mountain air, and a river experience that's as memorable for the setting as it is for the water.

🛶 Paddle Your Own: Inflatable Kayak TourSome of your group can paddle their own inflatable kayak — same river, same time.

Good Questions

Upper Colorado FAQ

Is this trip good for young kids?

Yes — the minimum age is just 4, and the gentle Class II water makes it one of the most family-friendly trips we run. Grandparents and nervous first-timers love it too.

Do I need any rafting experience?

None at all. There's no paddling skill required — your guide handles the river while you take in the scenery.

Will we really see wildlife?

The Upper Colorado is one of Colorado's best wildlife corridors. Bald eagles, deer, moose, and even bears are regular sightings — though wildlife is wild, so nothing's guaranteed.

Can we soak in the hot springs?

There are riverside hot springs mid-float. Whether you can stop and soak depends on the water level that day.

What should I wear and bring?

A swimsuit and clothes you don't mind getting wet. Any footwear is fine on this trip. Bring a towel, sunscreen, and a dry change of clothes.

Where do we meet?

Our Kremmling outpost at 400 Park Ave, Kremmling, CO — about two hours from Denver, near Grand County's lakes and Rocky Mountain National Park.
