Mellow Class II through a stunning red rock canyon. Best for families with young kids, mixed-age groups, and anyone who wants Colorado scenery without the adrenaline. Wildlife sightings, warm water, zero pressure. Want to spice it up? Try it in an inflatable kayak and paddle your own boat.
View Trip →Real whitewater fun 40 minutes from Denver. If you're an adult 13+, we usually recommend Intermediate — but Beginner is perfect for hesitant first-timers, families, or mixed-age groups with kids.
View Trip →The trip we recommend by default for adults. Bigger waves, faster water, real whitewater — and most first-timers do great despite the name. Top pick for bach/bachelorette, corporate, and anyone 13+ in average shape.
View Trip →Serious Class IV. You'll paddle hard, get slammed with cold water, and hit technical rapids in quick succession. Great for experienced rafters or thrill-seekers in good shape. Don't book this as your first trip.
View Trip →One of the most serious commercial raft trips in North America. Huge drops, technical features, remote canyon. Rafting experience recommended but not required — strong physical fitness and swimming ability are essential. If you're up for it, Gore Canyon is unforgettable.
View Trip →Whitewater rapids are rated Class I–V+. Here's what each class actually feels like on the water:
Smooth floats with small waves. Kid-friendly. No real risk — great for first-timers who want to ease in or anyone who values scenery over excitement.
Real whitewater. Bigger waves, needs paddling, but approachable for most first-timers. You'll get wet and have fun — this is where rafting starts to feel like rafting.
Fast, technical, and genuinely exciting. Expect to get tossed around and paddle hard. This is where experience starts to matter. Most healthy adults can handle Class IV with a good guide.
Expert territory. Large drops, dangerous features, strong swimming required. Not for casual rafters — this is Gore Canyon. Consequences if things go wrong.
