About This Trip

Want to be the captain of your own boat? Our guided inflatable kayak tour runs the same scenic Class II stretch of the Upper Colorado as our raft trip — but you're in your own ducky, paddling under the guidance of a pro. It's a hands-on, get-in-the-action way to experience the river without needing any prior kayaking experience.

You'll follow a certified guide through playful rapids and calm pools, with the same chances to spot bald eagles, moose, and deer along the canyon, plus the riverside hot springs mid-float (water-level dependent). Solo paddlers ride single kayaks; younger paddlers (and anyone who'd rather share the work) can ride in a tandem with an adult.

Same stunning canyon, same clean mountain air — just a little more adventure and a lot more bragging rights.

🚣 Rather Stick to the Raft? Some of your group can ride the Upper Colorado raft trip instead — same river, same time.

Good Questions

Inflatable Kayak FAQ

Do I need kayaking experience?

None at all. Your guide coaches you through paddling and safety before you launch, and the Upper Colorado is gentle Class II water — perfect for learning to steer your own boat.

What's the difference between single and tandem?

A single kayak ($100) is yours to paddle solo. A tandem ($190 for two paddlers) is a two-person kayak — great for younger paddlers, or anyone who'd rather share the work.

What's the minimum age?

13 to paddle your own single kayak, and 8 to ride in a tandem with an adult.

Is it harder than the raft trip?

It's more hands-on — you're steering your own kayak instead of riding in a raft — but it's the same gentle Class II water. A fun step up in involvement, not in difficulty.

What should I wear and bring?

A swimsuit and secure footwear. We provide the kayak, paddle, helmet, wetsuit, and PFD. Bring water, sunscreen, and a snack for the river.

Where do we meet?

Our Kremmling outpost at 400 Park Ave, Kremmling, CO.
