Privacy Policy
How this website, our bookings and our waivers collect and use the information you share with us.
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Liquid Descent Rafting, a whitewater rafting company with outposts at 1896 Stanley Rd, Idaho Springs, CO 80452 and 400 Park Ave, Kremmling, CO 80459. If you have questions about this policy or your information, email raftliquid@gmail.com or call (970) 372-2870.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic website usage data. That includes:
- Contact and group inquiries — your name, email, phone number and message.
- Trip bookings — the names and contact details of the person booking and guests, trip dates and any notes you add. Bookings are made through our booking system, Rezdy.
- Overnight trip reservation requests — guest names and ages, preferred dates, gear and wetsuit needs, dietary notes and how you heard about us.
- Waivers — the information the waiver asks for, such as each participant's name, date of birth, emergency contact and signature (and a parent or guardian's signature for minors).
- Job applications — your name, address, contact details, work and guiding history, certifications and anything else you include.
- Website usage — pages visited, device and browser type, general location and how you arrived at the site, collected through Google Analytics.
We never ask for card numbers on this website. Payments are entered directly into Rezdy's secure checkout and handled by its payment processor.
How we use it
- To book, confirm and run your trip, and to contact you about changes such as weather or river conditions.
- To keep the waiver and safety records our permits and insurance require.
- To answer your questions and plan group trips.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To understand how people use the website so we can improve it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Services that handle your information
We use a few trusted services to run the website and our business. Each one has its own privacy policy:
- Rezdy — online booking, calendars and payments.
- Smartwaiver — digital waivers.
- FormSubmit — delivers contact, reservation and application forms to our email, which is hosted by Google (Gmail).
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — website traffic statistics.
- Google Fonts, Behold (our Instagram photo feed) and CARTO / OpenStreetMap (maps) — load content on certain pages and may receive your IP address.
- Our web host — serves the website and keeps standard server logs.
We may also share information when required by law, or with land management agencies, insurers or emergency responders when needed for safety or to meet our permit obligations.
Cookies
Google Analytics and our booking system use cookies to measure traffic and keep your booking working as you move through checkout. We do not use advertising cookies on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out tool.
Photos on the river
Our photographers take photos of trips, which are offered for purchase. We may also share trip photos on our website and social media. If you'd rather not appear in photos we post, just let your guide or the office know, or email us and we'll take a photo down.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries, bookings and applications only as long as we need them to serve you, run our business and meet legal and record-keeping requirements. Signed waivers are kept for the period our insurance and the law require. After that, we delete them.
Children
This website is meant for adults planning trips. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Information about minors, such as guest names and ages, is provided by a parent, guardian or group leader as part of a booking or waiver.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing raftliquid@gmail.com or through our contact page. We may need to keep some records, such as signed waivers, where the law or our insurance requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
