Browns Canyon

Brown’s Canyon is the most popular stretch of river in Colorado for rafting, and is considered by many to be one of the best sections of whitewater in the world! Famous for its perfect balance between exciting rapids and sustained calm stretches, it is ideal for viewing the breathtaking Colorado scenery, all while getting a great taste of classic Colorado whitewater. Don’t let the views distract you too much as you raft your way through awesome rapids such as Zoom Flume, Big Drop, and the Toilet Bowl in this beautiful, remote canyon.
Through Brown’s Canyon we offer three different whitewater rafting trips. A Day Trip that includes 10 miles of whitewater (typically lasts about 3 hours), a Deluxe Trip (or 1/2 Day) that includes 13 miles of whitewater and a delicious BBQ lunch in our Riverside Beer Garden afterward (typically lasts about 4 hours), and a Full Day Trip that includes 17 miles of whitewater and a delicious gourmet lunch prepared and served riverside within the canyon (typically lasts about 5 hours). This section of the Arkansas River is great for families, groups, first-timers, and even experienced whitewater rafting enthusiasts and departs from our Johnson Village office 2 miles south of Buena Vista, Colorado.
